Delete your data
Last updated 14 September 2026
You can have everything we hold about you erased. There is no form to fight with and no retention offer — you ask, and it goes.
To delete your account and all of its data
Email privacy@bladestatistics.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my data. Using your sign-up address is how we know the request is yours; if you cannot, write from any address and we will verify another way before deleting anything.
What gets deleted
- Your account: email address, name, and password hash.
- Your organisation membership, and the organisation itself if you were its only member.
- Every conversation with Blade, including the messages, the model's replies, and the tool output they contain.
- Every stored analysis: the R code, the results, and any generated charts.
- Every dataset you uploaded, both the database record and the stored file itself.
- Any feedback you sent from inside the app.
This is a permanent deletion, not a flag that hides the data from you. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards.
How long it takes
We action requests within 30 days, and usually within a few working days. You get an email confirming it is done. Encrypted backups roll over on their own schedule, so a copy may persist in a backup for up to 30 further days; nothing is restored from those backups except to recover from a failure of the whole system.
What we keep, and why
If you ever paid for Blade, our payment provider keeps the invoice records that tax and accounting law require them to keep. Those records contain the fact of a transaction, not your analyses or your data. We cannot delete them early, and neither can they.
Deleting one thing rather than everything
You do not have to delete the whole account. Ask us to remove a specific dataset, a specific conversation, or a specific analysis and we will remove only that. Say which one in the same email.
Data collected by this website
Separately from your account, this website loads Meta's advertising pixel, which records page views and download clicks. That data sits with Meta rather than with us, so deleting your Blade account does not touch it. To clear it, use Meta's Accounts Center, where you can review and remove the off-Facebook activity that sites have reported about you. A content blocker stops it being collected at all. See the privacy policy for what the pixel sends.
