Terms of Service

Last updated 16 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and PT Riset Digital Nusantara, an Indonesian company, covering the Blade desktop app and the services behind it. Installing or using Blade means you accept them.

The part that matters most

Blade is a research tool driven by a language model. It can be wrong. Check any result you intend to publish, submit, or make a decision on against the R script Blade shows you. Read Accuracy and your judgement before relying on it for anything that counts.

1. Beta software

Blade is in beta. Features change, break, and occasionally disappear; data formats may change between versions. We do not promise that any particular feature will keep working, and we release on our own schedule. If you need software that is frozen and guaranteed, this is not it yet.

2. Accuracy and your judgement

Blade chooses statistical tests and interprets output using a language model. The arithmetic itself runs in R, and Blade is built to report only numbers that came back from a real tool run — but the choice of test, the reading of assumptions, and the wording of an interpretation are all produced by a model, and a model can be confidently wrong.

You remain the analyst. You are responsible for the correctness of anything you publish, submit for review, hand to a client, or decide on. Blade shows you the R script behind every result precisely so it can be checked — check it. Do not present a Blade result as a finding you have verified unless you have actually verified it.

Blade is not a substitute for professional advice, and nothing it produces is medical, legal, or financial advice.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Blade. Give us an address you can receive mail at, since sign-in codes go there. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. One account is for one person — do not share credentials. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in.

You must be at least 16 years old.

4. What you may not do

If you find a security problem, email privacy@bladestatistics.com rather than publishing it, and we will work with you.

5. Your data stays yours

Your datasets, your analyses, and anything you write in Blade belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, and to send it to the AI provider that answers your questions, as described in the privacy policy. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not sell it.

You can have all of it erased at any time — see deleting your data.

6. Processing by a third-party AI provider

Answering your questions requires sending your conversation, including file contents and tool output, to a third-party model provider. Today that is OpenAI. By using Blade you accept that this happens. If your data may not leave your organisation or your country, do not put it into Blade. The privacy policy names the current provider and where the processing happens.

7. Plans and payment

Blade has a free plan with limits and a paid Pro plan. Payments are handled by Xendit. Prices and available payment methods are shown before you pay.

Each successful payment adds one month of Pro access. Pro does not renew automatically. At the end of the paid month, your account returns to the free plan unless you choose to buy another month. We do not give partial refunds for an unused part of a paid month, but if something has clearly gone wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.

We may change prices. A price change does not shorten access you already paid for. The current price is shown before each new payment.

8. Availability

We do not promise any particular uptime. The service depends on providers we do not control — a model provider, a database host, a payment processor — and an outage at one of them is an outage for Blade. We take the service down for maintenance when we need to.

9. Ending it

You can stop using Blade whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 4, that is being used to harm the service or other people, or where we are required to by law. Except where the breach is serious or the law leaves us no choice, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of your current period.

10. What we do not promise

Blade is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties — that it is fit for a particular purpose, that it is error-free, or that results will be correct. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where you have consumer rights under your local law, those rights still apply and these terms do not reduce them.

11. Limit of liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost data, or for a decision made on the strength of a Blade result. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, or USD 100 if you paid us nothing.

12. Changes to these terms

We update the date at the top when these terms change. For a change that materially affects you, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Blade after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, stop using it and ask us to delete your data.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and disputes belong to the courts of Jakarta. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
